Easy-to-Eat Japanese Pumpkin Sticks with Garlic Butter Soy Sauce
A side dish that anyone can enjoy. This dish consists of Japanese pumpkin cut into easy-to-eat sticks infused with butter, soy sauce, and garlic. By using Yamasa “Regular soy sauce,” the vivid colors of the pumpkin are brought out to create the ultimate seasonal dish.
|1/2 pound of Japanese pumpkin (or buttercup squash)|
|1/2 clove of Garlic|
|2 teaspoons of YAMASA regular soy sauce|
|2 teaspoons of Butter|
- Remove fibrous strands and seeds from the Japanese pumpkin (or buttercup squash), and cut into 5-6cm wide sticks, with skin attached. Mince garlic.
- Put butter and garlic in a frying pan over medium heat. Once garlic becomes fragrant, lower heat, and add pumpkin.
- Cook pumpkin for 3-4 minutes or until soft. Pour YAMASA Regular Soy Sauce and mix.
- Serve and Enjoy.
