Mason Jar Sushi

Love sushi, but do not have time to become a master at rolling it? This deconstructed sushi tastes amazing and is so easy for lunches, picnics or anytime you are on the go.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 2 teaspoons Yamasa Regular Shoyu
  • 1 sushi nori sheet
  • 1 salmon filet, sushi grade, cut in 1 inch squares
  • 1 1/2 avocados, sliced
  • 1/2 mango, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise  
  • 1/2 teaspoon wasabi paste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Prepare the sushi rice as stated on the package, let cool completely.
  2. Mix the mayonnaise, Yamasa Shoyu and the wasabi paste and set aside.
  3. Cut two lines from the nori sheet. You can use this to place at the bottom of the jars. Now you can layer the jars as wished.
  4. Layer the Nori sheet, sushi rice, a layer of avocado, another layer of sushi rice, a tablespoon of the mayonnaise mix, a layer of salmon and last a layer of avocado.
  5. Sprinkled both sushi jars with sesame seeds. You can save them in the fridge until serving, or until your picnic!
