Poke Tacos

This refreshing Japanese inspired taco is perfect for a delicious, quick dinner that will please a crowd.

  • 6-10 whole corn tortillas, small
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 whole  lime
  • 1 pound  Ahi tuna
  • 1 whole  avocado, large
  • 1 handful cilantro, diced
  • ¼ cup  Yamasa regular Shoyu, for dipping

Poke marinade Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Yamasa Reduced Sodium Shoyu
  • 2 Teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 2 Teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • A pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 bunch green onion, thinly sliced


  1. In a medium size non-reactive bowl, combine Ahi tuna, soy sauce, green onions, sesame oil, sesame seeds, chili pepper, and macadamia nuts; mix well.
  2. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
  3. While tuna is marinating, cook your rice.
  4. Pit and shop your avocado, slice your lime, and put to the side.
  5. Heat the tortillas on the stove.
  6. On each tortilla, put rice, tuna, avocado and cilantro.
  7. Serve with a side of Yamasa Shoyu for dipping.
