Miso Marinated and Grilled Chicken

Are you tired of the same ole' grilled chicken breast? Try this easy, yet delicious recipe for the juiciest and most flavorful chicken breast right off the grill.

  • 2 pounds or 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons red miso paste
  • 1 teaspoon Yamasa Reduced Sodium Shoyu
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • ¼ cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon Yamasa White Miso Soup concentrate
  • 2 tablespoons orange or pineapple juice


  1. Place the chicken breasts in a gallon Ziploc bag
  2. In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients until combined and a smooth paste
  3. Pour the marinade in the plastic bag making sure the chicken is coated. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat outdoor grill to medium high heat. Discard the marinade in the bag and grill the chicken for 4 minutes per side, or until chicken is cooked through
  5. Once the chicken is done, serve with a salad, over rice or vegetables and enjoy
