Chicken and Steak Fajitas

Try this fajita marinade to spice up taco night. This delicious, umami rich marinade will take your fajitas to the next level.

  • 2 pounds your choice of chicken or steak
  • 1 large   onion
  • 3 whole bell peppers- red, yellow, green or orange
  • ¼  cup lime juice
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons hatch chili infused olive oil or regular olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Yamasa Reduced Sodium Shoyu
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon  black pepper


  1. In bowl, mix the lime juice, water olive oil, garlic, shoyu, chili powder, salt and pepper.  
  2. Place the meat in a large resealable bag and add ½ of the liquid mixture.
  3. Place veggies in a large resealable bag and add the remaining mixture.
  4. Let the meat and veggie marinate for 30 – 45 minutes.
  5. In a hot skillet, cook the meat for 5-7 minutes, or until done. When the meat is just about done add the veggies and cook until cooked, but still crisp.
  6. Serve and enjoy
