Grilled Steak Skewers

There is nothing better than tender and savory steak skewers for your next BBQ or get together. They are an easy and delicious addition that are easy to make or prep ahead.

  • 2 pounds sirloin steak
  • ¼ cup Yamasa Reduced sodium Shoyu
  • 2 tablespoons garlic
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 3 teaspoons ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 teaspoons Italian herb seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons rosemary dried
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1 whole red bell pepper
  • 1 whole green bell pepper
  • 1 whole orange bell pepper
  • 1 package bamboo skewers, soaked
  • 1 whole pineapple
  • 1 package baby portabella mushrooms


  1. Cut steak into 1x1 inch cubes, removing any excess fat
  2. Cut the vegetables and fruit for the skewers
  3. Combine the remaining ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir. Add cubed steak and coat the steak with the marinade
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  5. Remove the skewers from the package and soak until it is time to construct the skewers
  6. After the 2-3 hours, remove steak from the refrigerator. With 10 in long bamboo skewer stick, start assembling the skewers.
  7. Start the grill on medium high. Cook skewers until veggies are tender and the meat is medium/medium well.
  8. Remove from the grill and serve. You can dissemble and serve over rice if desired.
