Hawaiian Teriyaki Burger

Get ready to up your burger game! This recipe produces the juiciest, most flavorful burger we have had in a LONG time. This burger brings the freshness with the grilled pineapple to top off the tropical taste.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

Serves: 8

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs 93% ground beef
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp Yamasa Reduced Sodium Shoyu
  • 1 tsp sriracha sauce, or more if you like it spicy
  • 8 slices fresh or canned pineapple
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • 8 lettuce leaves
  • 3 tbsp Yamasa Teriyaki Sauce

Directions

  1. Gently combine the ground beef with grated carrots, ginger, shoyu and sriracha sauce.
  2. Form into 8 equal sized patties, try not to overwork the meat so it doesn't get tough.
  3. Heat the grill. When hot clean the grates and spray with oil.
  4. Place the patties on the grill and cook on high heat for about 10 to 12 minutes on each side, or until burgers are cooked to your liking. The shoyu will brown on the outside before the inside is cooked. Keep an eye on this the first time you use this recipe.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, grill the pineapple slices for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
  6. Once you remove the burgers from the grill, baste with Yamasa Teriyaki Sauce, and build your burger!
