Is Yamasa soy sauce pasteurized?

Yes all soy sauce made right here in the US are pasteurized. The reason for the pasteurization is to stop the fermentation process from continuing after it has been bottled and packaged. The reason we need to stop the fermentation is so that it doesn’t change the color, taste, or aroma of the soy sauce.
Once the bottle has been opened, it is recommended to keep it refrigerated so that the 3 components (taste, color and aroma) are preserved as long as possible.

Yamasa soy sauce contains MSG?

We do NOT add MSG to our soy sauce, however there is some naturally occurring MSG during the fermentation period.
