Simple Tofu Miso Soup

This very simple authentic Japanese miso soup that you can prepare in minutes is perfect for a quick and delicious meal. Yamasa White Miso Soup Concentrate is all plant-based using kombu for umami flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of Yamasa White Miso Soup Concentrate
  • 3 oz tofu
  • 1/4 cups sliced scallions (green onion)
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Directions

  1. In a small sauce pan, bring to boil 2 cups of water. Add the diced tofu and boil for 3-5 minutes. This will help remove the toxins and smell from the tofu. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small sauce pan, bring to boil 1 1/2 cups of water.
  3. In each serving bowl, add 1 tablespoon of Yamasa White Miso Soup Concentrate.
  4. Add 3/4 cup hot water in each bowl and mix. Adjust the amount of hot water according to your liking.
  5. Add tofu.
  6. Sprinkle with scallions.
